House of Commons: Indigenous and Northern Affairs

Description

The Canadian House of Commons has developed a committee dedicated exclusively to the issues of Indigenous peoples and northerners. With an increase in awareness about the human rights violations suffered by Indigenous citizens and the remaining effects of colonialism, Canadians are finally realizing that steps must be taken in an attempt to right the wrongs of the past.  This committee will give delegates the opportunity to discuss indigenous issues as MPs in order to formulate concrete plans for future governmental action on the road to reconciliation.
